My pleasure my friend, pity I didn't see this post earlier I could have helped.
Youve always helped.
Even told me what it was before I opened up the door ;)
There I was this morning happy enough pulling wires but now things are different.

Now I need advice,
Big advice :(:(

Seems I can’t keep it.
Got to go.

You lot got me this far...
couldn’t be fixed I was told....
But here I still am

With a full tank of diesel :mad:

So where do we go from here?
strip it for parts for the boys, weigh it in, Somebody need spares/repairs?

Views/opinions/banter/cunning plans welcome

Can you not SORN it until times improve? on the plus side its a weasel, if you had two extra cylinders it would cost soooo much more to run.;):D Good luck.
That’s what I did, certainly took the pressure off. Now we’re getting back in the swing it’s all smiles at home, Mrs Tricky has even taken to driving it again. Keep the faith these guys can help whatever it throws at you and besides you can’t go back to reliable motoring it’s too boring.
Tricky.

@RangeRoller dt sorry to hear this mate how come 2 cylinders gone bad?

Stripping for parts can be a good earner but alot of agro packaging and sending or as mentioned above sorn it get a 2nd hand engine?

Get another engine and keep her mate. Don't know if you've ever read my heartache with my engine. Whole thing was a mess from start to finish. Including a guy getting murdered in the garage that had refused to return her to me. Not by me, but I was damn close to blowing their garage up.
Here we are, several years later, I still have my Golden Girl , and still love her.
Get a replacement engine, and keep her. You will regret getting rid. Especially after all the work you have done so far.

It’s a diesel so engine is spot on.
Well...spot on ish.
@Lukas018 2cylinders missing was a laconic reference to Henry’s love of V8s. Can’t say I wouldn’t mind the challenge of a 4.0 think they go on an r380.

Situation is -
MOT due mid Oct so tried to claim for smashed windscreen...since I’ve been locked down for months Ive let my insurance run out
Is too late to renew that policy of £480 - they now want £900 to insure :mad:

So windscreen and also a hard srs fault I have been unable to identify without diagnostics
don’t see how I can get a £300 screen + fitted + £40MOT + £265 tax and insured (£1500!) by Oct.
That’s 300% what I payed for the vehicle

Don’t have yard in my new home but I have stuck it in garden once before, possible I could sorn it but then have an un-mot able untaxable 3T ornament

I have me, the dog, and my P38.
I love it to bits and would be very very sad to let it go but my vision is narrowing ; if I have to choose of the 3 :(

Im not really that bothered about that for the moment. I could use the temporary fix you suggested previously.

Think if I could get a screen it would be worth sorning. Seen some get 2nd hand £60/80 could put it in myself, how hard can it be,
With no vehicle doubt il source one round here.
With no screen is only scrap value.

I spread my tax and insurance over the year on DD, is £900 your best quote or price with same co? if that's any help will give you a couple of months to sort the screen and SRS.

If you can get a reasonable insurance quote, you could kind of forget to mention the cracked screen. Then 3 months down the line claim for it. £75 for a new screen that way.
