1997 90 tdi 300 csw on an average i get around 400 when i go to wales on a run around town apx 350 which i think is very good for a 90
a gallon = 4.546 lt so if you want to calculate your mpg supose you use £ 45 to fill up @ £1.20 per lt and travel 360 miles (45 devide by 1.20 = 37.5 ltdevided by 4.546 = 8.249 galons so 360 devided by 8.249 gal = 43.64 to the gallon

43.64 mpg??
This I find very, very hard to believe...
me too and £45 would only about half fill my tank.
mine is currently running along the lines of about 100 miles to £20 whatever that works out as.
Bout 22mpg

Whats the price of fuel in your area? I saw 130.9 for diesel today...!!
Holy petro-carbons fatman..i complain about 95p per liter!
I have a disco transfer box...and to be honest, i'm a tad disappointed..pulls well in all gears then dies badly as soon as i change to 5th...if you're happy with the fender tran box i'd stick with it tbh.
i put a disco trans box on me 90, one of the best things ive done.
running on 265 x 85s, pulls like a good un in 5th even up hill, and when towing.
ive a 200tdi in it.
Hmm..i have 235/85's...5th is little more than a 'holding' gear, as in no extra speed gained, and at slightest incline i have to go back down to 4th...strange..
I never had the Disco T box on before..i did the 200tdi conversion from a N/A and threw a new fender gb on at same time...tbh i'd like to hear from anyone with the fender gb and t-box as a comparison...i get 25-28mpg and top speed of 70mph..i'm sure it ought to have another 10mph in it but 70's the limit...i keep it to 60mph most of the time. I'm not bothered about top end, its a tractor, but i'm slightly disapointed with the mpg, its the same as the N/A.
I get very similar mpg (maybe slightly more) and its a 110 with roof rack on and 200tdi engine. I have got it to around 84 mph before but i dont like doing it, i feel very sorry for my engine it makes a heck of a din and it takes about 2 miles with a tailwind to get that.. Mind you we have absolutely no hills in cambridgeshire...
