300 tdi 90 with electric fans not viscous, no egr, no centre silencer, Allard intercooler, tweeked pump, 235/85 tyres so gearing up a lot. I drive hard (80ish on motorway according to Tomtom) and get 30 mpg. Oh, and the body is lifted a little so no aerodynamics either.

80mph in a landy? i feel sorry for you engine! :D:p

get around 25 but shges only on ****ty little 205's so have to rev it alot more to get 70 ect probs will be better when i get the 265's :)

I'd like to be able to turn off the extra fueling for the turbo but still not fitted the kit had it 3 years now. I don;t do enough miles to warrant checking but Last time we went out lets just say I was at the garage alot more than any others think my gearing needs sorting. Roll on new year I might even fit the trany box!

In the Time it took you to use a tank I'd only used 1/4 of one!:eek::eek:

Ive just managed an average of 34.4mpg in a 96 tdi 300 on decent roads between 50-60 mph. Not bad for an areodynamic lump like that, if only I had the radio on to numb the noise !!

 Are you talkin about the difference between a 90 and Defender 90?:confused:

No I wasn't but I see yr point.

This is where the confusion started :D

The aerodynamic lump bit suggested Defender to me :D

So your next post

In a 90? 110? Disco? RR?

Which prompted Nathans post whom I think read it like I did.

Aint this thred about fenders? :D

and

This is true, but still there is a difference between 90s 110s and 130s ;)

which is what prompted my pedantic comment. Now does that explain it? :)

an if it does can you explain it to me please :D ;)

i recently clocked my 90 on a trip up to the o2, which was probably 70% motorway or dual carriage way. Five of us in there maxed all the way in pouring wind and rain. Returned exactly 28.5

Sorry for the delay, it is a defender 90 on standard 205 tyres, no EGR, no cat, unsure if tweaked yet. Disco transfer box going in soon hopefully.

I have a disco transfer box...and to be honest, i'm a tad disappointed..pulls well in all gears then dies badly as soon as i change to 5th...if you're happy with the fender tran box i'd stick with it tbh.

1997 90 tdi 300 csw on an average i get around 400 when i go to wales on a run around town apx 350 which i think is very good for a 90

a gallon = 4.546 lt so if you want to calculate your mpg supose you use £ 45 to fill up @ £1.20 per lt and travel 360 miles (45 devide by 1.20 = 37.5 ltdevided by 4.546 = 8.249 galons so 360 devided by 8.249 gal = 43.64 to the gallon

I get about 28 mpg in my 110

But I always have the air con on in the 110 all year round so it will use a bit more than it should
