Blew me first one up just short of 200k - my own fault, bad rad covered in crap.Had a 200tdi that was about 240k and still going strong but blew up the transfer box and the body melted.Dont recall the others but current ones 98 300tdi @ 96k and 1997 300tdi japanese reimport at 60 something.

People say that the 200 will go round the clock a couple of times if you watch out for the No4 cyls valve gear.

I reckon theres a lot to be said for fitting an hour counter like on industrial engines.

300tdi 1997/8 R 202,000 28 service stamps in the book from landrover last one february
regular oil changes sweet and happy

My 93 is just past 144K. Original clutch, second head gasket and just had it's 3 timing belt at 143K. Starts first time every time all weathers, even the air-con has not been touched. Have to say it's been the most reliable car I've ever had.

i have jap import with 75000 on the clock, lol but going through the old mot's i notice that wen the vehicle had its first mot here in uk the disco had only done 6k, so seems ta me some silly chappie must have changed the clock wen vehicle was reimported,,
hmmmm,
by any chance does any 1 have a jap import disco? and are your clocks in mph or kph?

1991 - 200/300tdi hybrid - 56,000 miles.
Been like that since I bought it two years ago............really should fit a new speedo sensor.

All Jap reimports come with KM clocks so get changed to new clocks as part of their repatriation.

There should be paperwork somewhere (possibly the Jap service history) that says how many KM's it did before coming home.

My 300 had done 15000 KM in Japan, and has done 50000 miles since returning so approx 60000 miles all in.

300Tdi used and abused 162000
old 200tdi 180000 was good as new mechanical but body was super light weight due to tin worm

My old 1991 200TDi (sob) had clocked up 85000, (sob),but I expect the speedo before some bastid stole her on May bank Holiday this year. (sob, sob).

97 p reg just over 160000.
bought sept 09 on about 147000
new hg due to leaky rad (replaced too)
usual maintenance stuff, cam belt due to unknown history.
and the usual welding.
works hard and runs sweet.

H reg 200tdi with 251,000 on clock.

Smoking a bit so had head refurbed, injectors redone and turbo refurbed, Hopefully it wont smoke as much...........when I get time to put it back together:D

170k on a 3.9. @ 10 mpg. That's seventeen thousand gallons. Guessing at an average of £3 a gallon that's £51k on fuel. Ouch

My 96 300 tdi has done more than 300,000 m - one replacement cylinder head, couple of radiators, three hundred thousand miles on original clutch, just replaced alongside second hand gear box, just replaced water pump this week - what a sod - without removing fan and rounded two stud heads, managed to fit a smaller serpentine belt by accident and then discovered they make two sizes, but it stayin on till it wears out, roof lining sagging, windows rattle and sometimes drop down, but it's still in better condition than the wife.

96 N reg. on 120,000 miles bought last year. usual bits & bobs, all the usual crap , now o/s elec wdw. has stopped working. 300tdi btw.
