Hi, I'm just curious what sort of mileage people are getting to a tank on LPG?

Ive a 4.6 V8 Vogue, and the LPG tank is a 90 litre (75 useable litres) and am getting around 160 miles to a tank, which i'd say is quite low

Average MPG recently reading on the dash says 18.9mpg, so by my reckoning on 75 litres = 16.5 gallons at 18.9mpg should get 311, allow 15% difference for LPG, should be looking to get around 265 miles to a tank?

Hi, I'm running a 3.9 on gas. Same size tank as you and getting around 240miles to the tank. And I don't hang around mostly on motorways at 80

I get 235 miles out of same size tank whatever type of driving I'm doing. It's a bit weird.

Can't remember what the computer reckons, but I don't see how it can be even vaguely accurate on lpg so just ignore it.

I've got 170 miles so far on my first tank following conversion, and the last light is flashing so I'll be empty soon. Was hoping for 50 miles more so I'll run another tank through to see if that improves. Hopefully it will! Mixed rush hour and motorway driving mainly.

I wouldn't pay too much attention to the lights - they're usually rubbish. Mine shows empty after about 60 miles. I just go by the mileage now and/or until it runs out.

I get 240 + for the same size tank 4.6 vogue
Also when the red light starts flashing on mine I get approx 70 miles before it is empty

Quite a difference there by the looks of it. I agree with the comment about ignoring the lights, mine would drop to 1 light after about 40-50 miles, then go back up to 3 etcetcetc

I was only getting about 130 miles, then an installer told me a process to try to reset the ecu etc, which brought it up to the 165. But still think I should get more

Am going tonight to an installer to hook it up to computer to have a look and maybe reprogram it, will post results after I've run another tank through it!

Good to know somebody else is on the wrong end of this equation as well. I am getting 12mpg from LPG which is shocking. The engine has a torquemax cam which may not help.

I really dont feel the system is at all well setup. I was tempted to go buy a nice reconditioned 4.0 lump which apparently is good for 20 mpg then put the LPG system on it. Expensive way to prove a point tho.

I'm sure the 4.6 is supposedly (and surprisingly) more economical than the 4.0...
