I din't mean compression test adapter (gittin confoosed in me senility) I meant one er them ColourTune adapter fingys. I used ter ave one when I used ter race Minis years ago.
If yer look down the tube, is the end bit (around the electrode) translucent?

that's what i orginally thought - i bought a new one last month and it's made of horrid plastic but the one i had moons ago looked sorta like that - the right hand threaded part was for screwing on a angled mirror just in case you couldnt see down the inspection tube

Probably drives like it's supposed ter now... Ah reckon 'eez just gotten used to it being wedged up in one of his springs :D

from the posted section i reckon hes gotta deepender... why would he have a 101 plug?

G
ffs wheres the base ball bat?

if his landy is ex army , FFR or not then it would most likely have bin in close proximity to FFR landies and as the mechanics work on both then it quite possible that a FFR plug has got caught up underneath some where by accident. I.E it wur dropped or knocked down there.

FFR plugs are pretty much the same and that one in that piccy just happens to be from a 101

hes gotta 300tdi 90. that narrows it RIGHT down! haha. how strange.
still dunt mean its not a ffr plug, i found a VW gearnob down by me BMW battery once; dint think it wur strange, just thought what **** dropped that there and couldn't be arsed moving the battery to get it back

i found a bus ticket in me garage but it dunt mean crossville used ter keep their fleet in there ;)

bit far-****ing-fetched innit?

is it **** yer soft ****.. once you've work on a few vehicles you stopped being amazed at the stuff you find stuck in normally inacessable bits. you only find them when you have to dismantle aprts of the body work .

snap-on screw driver inbetween me jag radiator and A/C condensor wur we last find. if you got a few hour i'll try and recall all the 'STRANGE' stuff i've found while working on an assortment of cars, lorries, boats, buses, tanks, hovercraft and anything else with an engine

cheers for everyones input.
I've a 1997 30tdi defender.
This thing that pinged out, and struck the underside of th drivers footwell may jus hav been a coincidence. but i'm pretty sure th uj problem i nt related.i'm havin a mechanic take a gander tomorrow so i'l let ya'l know wat th outcome is if ur bothered!

I found an engine in the boot of an hillman imp once. just as well really cos sum **** had nicked the one from the front.
