Looks like a small additional fuel pump to aid fuel delivery which is why it will run with the engine, looks like an aftermarket fit. Possibly there if the engine has been tweaked in some way

As Landy10 say's it's an after market fuel pump. I would guess it has been fitted because the in tank pump is shagged:(

Sounds like you have bought a real dog, I hope it was very cheap.

i just vent out and chekt it and i was wrong an dhey vent in the pump ..

but that klick noice is a pain in the ass so what can i do to get rit of that noice ??

It's a daphragm pump. They're supposed to make that noise. It's when they don't you start worrying. As Datatek says, it's probably been installed to overcome a knackered pump in the tank. Only cure is to renew the intank pump and then you can do away with this one.

so du i haveto bt a hole new unit to the tank ore can i just change the pump??

at least u know what that noise is,take it away and another noise may be heard,it is a p38 if you can live with it i would,if it ain't broke.

Yes. It means dropping the tank and a new pump and sender assembly. Some people have cut a hole in the boot floor to do this but that's up to you. Someone like Island 4x4 would be the best place to get one.

you can buy a new fuel pump, you don't need to change the tank. you do need to get the tank down to replace it unless you want to cut a hole in the floor of the car. there are apparently instructions in here somewhere on exactly where to cut.

before you buy anything try and find out why the extra pump was fitted. ask the previous owner if he knows.

just out of curiosity, what about buying a small (exhaust) cotton reel, with the right size thread, as the original bolt , holding the pump to the bulkhead, remove the bolt, screw in the cotton reel, fix the pump back on with a nut and washer?
just might make the sound less inside( same as the eas pump?
