Going to France soon so been messing about with a pair of Lucas lens/deflector thingies for the headlights. They adjust the beam pattern for driving on the right and also turn the lights yellow- suitably period-correct for my 90 :D

Changed gearbox & transfer box oils and dill oils, greased everything that has a nipple snd adjusted the throttle linkage

Drove it to cheltenham Magistrates, So I could tell em why I shouldn't have to pay 745quid for an offence that wasn't actually an offence.

short story. Local bridge is unsafe (Alledgedly) so they reduced speed limit from 50 to 30 but only on the bridge. 1st week it was in force, a camera van appeared, (just by coincidence) and hid on the blind side of the bridge. Unfortunately for Plod. Highways hadn't put correct signage & Lighting up. So all tickets were voided. So what offence was I fined for???

Failing to respond to the request to identify the driver. at the time of the offence (which wasn't an offence) Magistrate has cancelled the conviction and the 6points. Plod now has to reissue the request to identify the driver.

Ripped out the headlining - stripped it and give it a nice coat of silver mist emulsion, then promptly got that a bit mucky when refitting it - bugger!!

That said, it makes a heck of a difference now that lots of wires is running above the lining, and there ain't a saggy lump of material fighting me for the view out the window!

So far today...

I have had new BFG Mud Terrain Tyres fitted

I fitted a new pollen filter. I don't like things that are broken or untidy. I'm not sure if it does anything but it costs hardly anything and looks a lot neater now when I lift the bonnet.

Had the tracking done. The steering wheel was not aligned horizontally when going straight and it was driving me mad. Much happier now.

If all goes to plan I will finish fitting the Daytime Running Lamps and refit some spot lights.

Alternatively, I could have another cup of tea.

ive been still trying to free off the transmission brake on my rangy and attempted to fit a diff guard before arguing with it and leaving it ill another day
