Managed to blow £450 on mine last night in a bout of insomnia :( I now have a raptor dash, full compliment of carling switches, yet another set of alloys, four caliper repair kits and a two man tent on the way to me. I REALLY need to stay off the coffee

Trying to find out where this vibration is coming from. Removed front prop and took it for a test drive. Vibration still there. Took rear prop off took it for a test drive, no vibration. Prop looks all ok UJ's, seem fine. Now I'm wandering if its the rear diff or something in the transfer box. All wheel bearings seem good. Anyone know where to get a rear diff for a 1990. 200tdi, 110? I was getting a klonk from the rear diff when I engaged power which sounded like the A joint but I know that is fine.

Well disco decided the exhaust was and optional extra it just didnt need. Its bloody dificult trying to extract a exhaust thats bent round the rear axle. Then got caught under a tip barrier.

Collected a disco rear axle with my 90 and trailer today with my son andy from Chris W's place :D a very nice chap to do business with, then after that we removed all the un-wanted bits off it to make it easier to carry it into the garage ready for giving the axle a good re-furb and paint :)

once again cheer's Chris ;)

Thought I'd give it an oil change and new filter, drained oil, fitted filter went and bought more oil as I didnt realise how much my s3 took....

Gave it a good clean today then drove it home from work and it rewarded me by then not starting five minutes later. I fitted a new stereo last week and think it must be taking a drain on the battery!!

Fitted some waterproof Econoseal connectors on the end of the front fog lamp cables ready to replace them with Daytime running lamps.

This is one of those do a bit when I have five minute jobs. I've already done the re-wiring of the fog lamp relay under the bonnet. I've yet to do the switch wiring and yet to actually fit the lamps to the bumper.

This morning am going to put some draft excluding rubber stuff around my drivers door to reduce wind nosie and going shove a wad of paper behind the rear back seat headrest to stop it squeaking. This is highly technical stuff and I know people will want pics and a guide etc....but its going to take me all day!

Fitted a new three way relay from Ryder for my auxiliary caravan circuits as the old one had got waterlogged due to being behind o/s/r light unit, barmy place to put it, might relocate it eventually. Time for a beer.:5bcheers2:
