bought this months ago,
LED CAR VAN BOAT 12v 24v BATTERY VOLT VOLTAGE METER MONITOR GAUGE PANEL MOUNT | eBay
digital volt metre,
went out in the cold and made it fit in between the 2 left hand side dummy dash switches on my disco 200.
dont do pictures, but using my angle grinder - thin blade - cut a equey spaced square from each dummy switch, cut the middle bar of the dash mounting
(pop the dummy switches out you`ll see what I mean)
with carefull adjustment on the dummy switches with my angle grinder - made it all a tight fit to push back in again.
not yet wired it but I`ll take a live feed from the switches above - rear screen and rear fog lights, and an earth as i find it.
in theory, the power to the swtches is only live when ignition is on -

the bad news my oil pressure switch now refuses to light the bulb,
its not the bulb/wiring, as i earthed out the wire to the pressure switch-
bulb lights..
new switch on order --

Started disconnecting things ready to take engine out of the Disco, radiator/intercooler etc off together with oil pipes.

Been stood two months but started first turn of the engine when I moved it to its final resting place:)

Painted my chassis and axles then got carried away and started to paint my radius arms and brake callipers and other little bits red then had to fix my rear fog lamp and fitted a seat belt in the rear plus rear brake pads for its mot tomorrow. Seat belt was stressful didn't want to release so had take it apart to sort out.

On my way to get it an mot but got a flat tyres on the way. Had to wait for green flag just made it in time

new bailey morris rear prop turned up, with flange kit so converted the Disco to UJ both sides on rear prop & got rid of the rubber coupling, took ages & a lot of swearing to get the spigot out of the 3 bolt flange.

I want to make a deal with a landrover defender mechanic. I have an old 1993 long wheel base V8 defender that I drove to Austria. The 900 miles has made it leak a little after switching the engine off. It is parked in the garage of our holiday house that is in the middle of some of the best skiing in Austria. We have renovated the chalet to a luxury level, hot tub, sauna , UK Sky TV, etc etc In a beutiful village of Kitsteinhorn- Nr Kaprun, Zell am See one of the best Glaciers in the Alps and loads of skiing in that area.
Here is the deal, fix my defender replace the gasket and stay in my chalet free of charge. Chalet sleeps up to 13

poll required for the 13 participants ?

Fixed another leaky rad hose on my V8, turns out the old ones I hadn't changed on the back of the timing case had some cracks. One hose left to replace then we'll see if there's any under pressure!
