obviously they were not all fine were they.in time you will realise that when you do a big job like this,you must change all unknown items that might be not up to muster.:D

In my defence it was two small hoses that if never expect to go :eek: changed now anyway :)

you KNOW you should have changed them all.when i rebuilt my mini engine i replaced all the hoses except one.yes you guessed it.that bugger blew on a trip to wales.it was the very small by pass hose between the cyl head and block.luckily i found a spares shop open on a sunday in a small welsh village/town.very very lucky that day.plus it was a git to change as it was the solid one,not the flexi one.:mad:

Well I'd have changed it had I been aware :p it looked fairly good but jobs done anyway! Got one more to do then I'll try it under pressure during the week :D

but thats what i am saying,you did not know it's condition.so you should have put new on it.it could have blown when you were out in it and fecked the engine.:rolleyes:

Very true :p but it's all done now so we're good :D looking forward to firing it up again and being able to run for more than 30 seconds! Missing one hose connection as I don't have a heater matrix in mine but I've got a pipe joiner now so going to connect it to the top rad hose as a return pipe :)

I will :) on a side note I've also bought a huge MAC toolbox with snap on stuff inside for a bargain price!
Those extra tools should help with the build :p

Do you even know what a ratchet spanner is :confused: from what I hear the only tools needed for a gaylander are hair driers and scrunchies so you can dry and tie the doors back on after it rains :p


Not forgetting the straighteners to help eleviate the stress of your Houdini doors obviously :p
