i can prove it due to the fact that he purchased the car from suffolk and my mates car from Aberdeen, he then did 'some' work to both of the cars one a year later than the other, both came from different ends of the country, went through the same middle man and then came out with the same shoddy style of work!

how exactly are you going to prove that he did the work on the chassis???

after it was checked by the proffesional it has always been MOT'd at my local garage as is only 1 minute away, it failed its first mot on warped discs on the rear and worn shock bushes and that was it no chassis mension what so ever

So again wot do you want compo for? A patch that passed a mot?

i quite clearly posted the first one in an appauling mood as most would be, im still going to call the guy up tomorrow though and see what he says as he 'seemed' a genuine guy, but clearly not if indeed he did the work which i 100% believe he did. sorry for wasting your guys time, but thanks again for the comments, will be uploading more pics of the brakes etc

Mot testers are not allowed to pick away or damage a repair, only view it. doubt they would find it unless it was obvious.

yesterday i changed the horn for a louder one,put blue bulbs in the dash, and changed that stupid, expensive spring in the rear door lock,so that now works but my pop riveter died on the last pop:mad:i als needed a front tyre called in to my local place and got a part worn almost brand new 235/85/r16 for for 40 quid fitted its a bf goodridge all terrain ta:)then i nipped over to brian 47 to borrow some bolt extractors(cheers bri) he has one of the best discos i have ever seen, really nice landy,i then greasesed the props and UJ,S what a pita that was, todays plan is sort out the lock stop adjusters my wheels are hitting the drop arms on full lock, change the diesel filter, clean the goo from the power steering and assess how bad the leak is,then return brians extractors and take my lad out for a spin in the defender

This morning I changed the rear body stays under the rear wheel arches. Here's one that came off:

And here's a new one in place:

Nice new galvanised ones off Ebay.

I've done a few other little jobs like moved one of the exhaust brackets so that the rubber hanger isn't under as much strain as it was, and put rivnuts on where there's a hatch to access my fuel pump rather than self tappers.

Gave it a bloody good pressure washing all over.
Blew holes in the offside bulkhead outrigger and the top of the bulkhead by the hinge.
Bugger!
