not today but yesterday finished off putting the old landy back together and drove it back home and tucked it away in her shed , can get a few more odd bits sorted out now without having to drive a 12 mile round trip to me mates workshop . although have to go back there soon to swap the disco transfer box out for the fender 1 i "picked up" at newbury in october :D
 
Used it to drive to london and back on the weekend, driving along at 70 most of the way, 80-85 overtaking, and to let the engine cool of after working hard, 65 behind lorries :D. Didnt miss a beat though. Got home and she was idling a little faster then before, soon as she cooled down that stopped so all is good. :)
 
The Landrover has been good to me the last few weeks so I decided to treat her and give it a real good clean inside and out, I treated all the black plastic with black wow (great stuff)

The landy came up a treat, looks almost new, not bad for a 17 year old vehicle

After being fed up with the pathetic lights on me truck, i decided to do somefink about it. so i got some new headlights that take h4 bulbs, and whilst in halfords buying new wiper-blades i spotted 100w h4 bulbs. now the packaging said off-road use only but ****** that, iam fed up with being blinded by the ***** i meet up on my daily drive to work.i have 5 miles of lanes to drive and the cars coming the other way dont dip their spots until the last second and still get blinded by their super dooper white xenon lights.
reminds me of years ago when i got a series 111 and was my daily drive to work.every day on the same bit of road i got blinded by a jag driver who kept his main beem on till we were allmost nose to nose.i tried keeping my main beem on, flashing, honking the horn. even after fitting spots he kept dasling me.
after relating this to a mate he came up with an idea. 6 monster24v floodlights from a huge digger where he worked fitted to a roofbar we knocked up, a huge 24v battery in place of the cubby box and a set of jumpleads conecting it up.
the next time on the way to work, jag man comming up with high beam on got a real surprise as i clamped the jumpleads on the battery and instant daylight. jag man jumped on the brakes pretty sharpish and as i came along side opened the window and asked if there was a problem?
never had a problem with him after that.

Relocated three little switches to central panel.
Installed new stereo head unit (waste of time - still can't hear it!).
Fitted an ex-Army steel toolbox to inner wing.
Fitted more tie-down hoops for internal storage.
Emptied rain water from reversing light.
Repaired a stone chip in the screen.
Replaced tatty rear door card with chequerplate.
Went for a drive :D
