Went to the driving range in it and decided I really need to sort out the rear door hinges, most of the weight of the door is on the latch :eek:
 
My parcel from Defenderbits arrived at lunchtime so I set to work on my engine-cutting-out problem. New fuel pump relay fitted, new fuel filter fitted. The little rubber washer in the centre of the filter canister was all rucked up, which might not have been helping. Then I changed the fuel pump. Now I'm sitting here with the engine running to see how long it will go before or if it cuts out again.
 
The new fuel sender unit indicates a much more generous amount of fuel on the fuel gauge. Probably about £15-20 worth. It's gone from about half to about 3/4 full.
