thay do its called a disco lolDrove back from Paris in a nice warm Mercedes Sprinter, then at 03:30 I had to jump into my Defender after scraping all the ice off in -6C. Why oh why can't they make a defender with a decent heater.
Think I prefer to put up with the cold than change my defender for a Disco.thay do its called a disco lol

Might just buy myself a warmer jacket.and gloves.
Genuine query: Having never owned a Defender to understand the poor heating problem, what is it about them that makes the heating so poor?
Is it a small heater matrix or crap heater fans? Or combination of both?

same here ive been lucky with mine gets like a swet boxNothing wrong with the heaters in defenders, it's just that most are knakered!!
Mines nice and toasty.
welcome to defender ownershipI have sealed all the draughts. Tighten the doors up so they seal, Replaced the thermostat. Removed the Visco fan and fitted a Kenlow electric. The fluids seem to be clear. But it takes about 15 miles before any heat starts to come through then its only warm air coming through. I even tried a rad muff which didn't seem to make any difference.

I'm thinking of trying the 88 degree thermostat to see if that makes any difference.
