That's looking like it's going to be very sturdy. That metal looks to be 5 or 6 mm thick. I haven't quite got my bearings here. Are these intented to bolt to the engine block so you can use the original chassis brackets?

yeah basically it bolts to the engine block utilising the 300 tdi bolt holes as well as the 2.5 td ones and then onto the standard 2.5 td chassis mounts, saving me the need to cut up my galvanised chassis.
 
after failing to remove the bolts from the door hinges using an impact screwdriver last weekend i got kitted out with a grinder and was going to grind the bolt heads off.

before setting off to work i decided to do a utube search and i found this

worked an absolute treat... all bolts out within an hour, and new hinges and aligned doors within 4 hours.... well happy,

with the time left i sanded down a re-placement front panel and slam panel ready for spraying.

as my disco was so dirty with sand and dry salt !!
I put it through a good car wash.
it was so bad before,
that in the late afternoon blinding sun we had, I could not see through the discos side windows..
so shiney now :)
 
you can see why series lovers love there pre 1972 landies then eh.

and can see why lots just larf at those who

New disco or range rover is £750 for the first year then about £465 there after.

but if you got the uber expensive rangie of a company account,
it matters not,
until joe blogs buys it at a few years old.

ARRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGG, now the heater matrix is ****ing out fluid... just when it started to hail.

Ordered a few more parts fur the 90 to go with the ever growing box of parts taking over the dinning room...much to the wifes dismay.......need silly season to be over so i can get it on some lifts and do all the work.....plus ma liver hates me:rolleyes:


now thinking about buying a 110......dam it never happy me!
 
Bought it an led high level brake light :)

Going to fit it in the panel above the back door and use the rear window washer jet hole for the wiring :)
