Tore out the vile air box set up I had. Ordered new hoses. Adapted brackets ready to fit tomorrow. Will still be a slightly cobbled together affair but deffo air tight. Resecured breathers after noticing clips snapped.

Did a bit of sanding. Not bad considering I didnt get up til 1!

We need video evidence!!!!!

Unfortunately I have none but next weekend you can have a video, I've packed it in now til then as my battery died so the engine wouldn't spark up

Bringing a 1000a power pack next time in order to make sure it has enough power

Jacked it up, got under and had a good poke and shake at all the steering. Cant find anything loose , there is some fluid hanging about so i have cleaned it all. I will have another look and see if the fluid is coming from power steering pump/pipes or steering box drop arm seal.

I drove it through some of the roughest country I've driven through for awhile looking for my dog who ran away for about 5 hours. Wheels in the air, traction control flashing and clicking. Was getting firewood when she and her mom disappeared. Mom came back after an hour sans the pup.

She's home now home after an exhausting adventure. The pup proved that she can use her nose and the Green Beast proves once again that it can rove all ranges.

Well.... before it went in to the garage £3400, after it came out.. that's between me and my confessor  it's a long list of stuff done but I reckon it'll out last me before it needs and major work.

FFA make sure you keep it well secured cos the chances are that unless you have agreed value insurance you won't get what it stands you in at back in the event of a claim

West, sounds like you should lose your dog more often.
Naw, it was no fun at all really. I could imagine her spending the night out there with all the coyotes, mountain lions and bears. She's 6 months old and would have been no match for the wild critters. She was very happy to be found and slept like a rock the rest of the day.

Washed the windscreen ..

Had a day out at Cleethorpes yesterday and the flies on the way home were crusted on. Windscreen wash 'n wipe didn't, just smeared .. and I hate a dirty windscreen .. ;)

fitted s/h rear diff, rear discs and pads, both rear wheel bearings, and changed front diff oil. got a nice sun tan aswell :D

crawled underneath and put an exhaust bandage on the blowing, rusted, rotten, noisy, feckin centre exhaust pipe.

just to give me time to source a replacement.

Removed several more kilograms of Derbyshire from the underside. Thankfully the muppet from whom the motor was purchased had had the foresight to Waxoyl said kilograms so they were at least all nice and dry.
