Tried to fix side lamp on defender but cant figure out the wiring

It has a black earth wire and two others, one is green/purple and the other red, Not like the wiring diagram on rave so left it till Monday:)

Changed blown bulbs. Do I have to remove dickie seat to get to light cluster?

no just align it so ya can get ya hands in to undo top and bottom retaining knobs. whole cluster can then be removed from outside of vehicle.

Fan belt ordered at lunch time,it came at 2 am i had it fitted by 2:30.
all the oils getting done tomorrow EGR kit ordered and i think ill get a timing kit ordered for next week :)

just replace with noo bolts. if you have to much lock I:E rubbing use longer bolts. :)

That's his plan apparently, just as long as he can get the old ones out!

So far he's busted the head off one and turned it into a stud, then he tried my Sealy stud extracter, didn't work so he tried a Stiltson and that didn't work so he tried a bigger Stiltson.

I think he's going to try some intense heat next.

If that fails I reckon he's going to have to drill the old ones out and retap the holes.

And yes, he assures me that he slackened off the lock nuts first.

decided to do a trial fit of the rangie classic rear seat for the station wagon......

first step was to measure n chop out a 10cm deep cut into the arch...

next I trimmed down the cut out section and riveted it to form a new 'side' panel.....

then I fabricated the missing metalwork from a thick galvanised shelf that I had 'liberated' some time ago..... sealed and riveted all round

then time for a trial fit of the seats.....

you sit at a far more sensible height... rear passengers can look through the window instead of the alpine lights lol.........

and you still have full folding capability so load space is still fully useable....
