Found that all rear hinges are knackered, lucky I got spare pins in Peterborough, also topped up engine oil and washer fluid

Welded up a blown seam on exhaust. Got mot this month and I'm planning on getting a stainless exhaust when funds allow so don't want to spend anything on a tin steel one!

Also had a play with the ramps. It's sitting level for the first time!

tightened up the power steering belt, lovely smooth powerfull power steering now, but the dam thing keeps coming loose over time? Its either because the belt is cheep and keeps stretching, in which case eventually it will stop stretching, or it keeps loosing grip for some reason?

Also got the old quad bike running after its been sitting for many a month without running, it wasn't happy, but I got it warmed up then ran out of fuel so gave up on that front. All in all, productive day with me spanners :D ;)

know what ya mean with stretching belts mate.
I bought a pair of ebay, was supposed to be good quality.
fcukin ****e quality, as the alternator belt I only fitted snapped in half friday night after about 6 months use, and left melted rubber deposits in the bottom of the drive pulley groove..
recycled chinese condoms more then a landie Vbelt I recon..

Patched up rusty doors, patched up rusty outrigger, got undercoat on the doors and started painting the chassis

I like it when it don't rain :D

Fitted the new tree sliders on the 110 CSW ... removing the 20 year old sills was the worst part ... angle grinder with cutting disc proved very useful. Also pressure washed the chassis in the hope that it may dry out while I'm working away ready for a good schutz Waxoyl session next weekend.

Every time I drive it I'm more and more impressed with the electronic power management it's just incredible what it'll do :)

Since driving about 30 miles since yesterday with parking etc, its already starting to go back to its original lumpy squeaky self, fooking annoying. But I am a tight git so might be some time before it annoys me enough to buy nice belts ;) Like all chinese stuff then :D
