Took the starter motor off, starting dismanteling and cleaning, then i dropped it on my foot, reassembled and going to refit it later hopefully.
 
Painted the rear diff pink :biggrin1:

Used it to protect and then rescue a gaylander from a roundabout after completely dying at the head of the traffic, towing it back to where it had just come from.
No, the doors hadn't fallen off, but it had just been washed lmao :D
 
Put the door handles back on the inside of the doors because although the door cards have to come off again, I'm fed up with people moaning they can't close the door!
 
purchased a rather fetching replacement front differential for it, well ok its not rather fetching its a second hand one but you get the idea.

Under it in the morning trying to rebuild.
 
All this lovely snow here, The Defender is in great shape but I'm not. Worst case of flu I have ever had. I feel so bad I couldn't even muster up the courage to go for a spin in the Defender and pass all the cars stuck in the snow. I'm sat in my bed looking out across the drive staring at my Defender in the snow.
 
emptied all the stuff out ready for buildwas sunday!!!
bought a new front prop which turns out to have TD5 yokes for wider angles :O same price as ****part one. result :D
 
finished welding new box section on the sills and painted them black. then decided to sand the whole car ready for new paint when i decide which colour. am thinking Matt black but am unsure
 
Hello all
I've changed my air filter, engine breather, turbo filter 2 hoses on the system (gone weak with age ) 76,ooo miles 2005 bmw engined but still have high pitched, whine, whilsling sound under load 2000 revs plus on acceleration. Fine reving without load, help don't know what to do next, and it was very cold today!. I'M a new member so bear with the 1st attempt.
 
Worked out that the purple and white wire which I thought might be important actually does f**k all and isn't connected at either end.
 
Finally washed the little madam after off roading on Sunday ... the works car park now looks like an off road site! :doh:
 
Nearly broke down on the way home from teaching :(

Steering pump bearing seized, shredded belt.........no drive to water pump or alternator :eek:
Fortunately it happened about 200yrds from my workshop so she can rest up tomorrow and I'll sort it Saturday :cool:
 
well not done owt to disco today but my new inner wing repair panels have turned up,hopefully fitting passenger side one tomorow will get back to ya all and let you know how it went lol
