What have you NOT done to your Landie today
Cav pump adjustment...Whilst undoing the unions for the fuel feeds the most stuborn one finaly relented all of a sudden causing me to whack fingers on a sharp edge and thence to leak blood all over the engine compartment.... Unions retightened, tools put away, retired injured.......

From Sunday The 200tdi is out of my Defender, also the heater, clutch, brake servo, put a few patches on the bulkhead, and the floor panles :doh:

Just painting, plastering it with wayoyl and then a fresher 200tdi out of a disco is going in :D should be ready new week :biggrin1:

Cheers Mike, there's no reason *touch wood* why it won't be ready, I'm back to work on the 3rd of Jan so I bloody hope nothing major crops up :D Oh the joys of Land Rover Ownership :biggrin1: :doh:

So that is where some of the draughts might be coming from on mine. When it falls below -6C I get some cold air coming through from somewhere.
Should be good when finished. Bon courage as they say here in France.

That bit of cold air coming in, will most probably be every panel gap it has, the panel gap in my door is crazy :D Thanks :rolleyes: :banana:

that made me laugh, i aint the only one having bad luck then
 
removed midle silencer on my d1 200tdi, the boost now rise more easily? or i just think it will? nice low sound when have car trailer connected on hook :)
 
rear axle now in (not the old drum defender one as it proved to be buggered!!) its off a disco, exhaust fitted, new suspension and dislocation cones fitted, now waiting for paint:D

Dads just put a 300tdi disco axle on his 1984 90 CSW, Stops like hell now :D
 
Truck started squealing and clunking (LOTS) on way home yesterday. Slid underneath this morning to check stuff. Rear axle UJ - tight, xfr box - tight, Front axle UJ -tight, xfr box - I really, really don't think it should bang and rattle like that!... Ordered new UJs for front propshaft, replacing one may as well replace them both. Something to do next week, assuming the bits arrive.
