off roaded on sunday, had a problem

rear brake sticking on, well i thought, checked wheel bearings and rear one was a lil slack, withdrew the rear half shaft and god knows what the last owner used as grease but it was black, sticky and a lil like ud, but every seal was good so wasn't mud

now going to get my bearings and new rear brake pads, it's all good

Bloody hell, I've drilled a 25mm hole in the roof.......................!!!

For CB coax and roof light wiring.

Hmmmm I wonder if it will leak?:pop2:

Fitted new calipers, discs, pads, shocks and springs to the rear today... front tomorrow

Also managed to round off, then remove 1 x Caliper retaining bolt and in the process of doing that - crack the brake line... So made a new line up and fitted that too!

walked past mine for the 5th time this week on my way to work (getting a lift in someone else's car) :(

Roll on Monday when, assuming I can get it there, the garage will replace the wheel bearings, among other things.

well i couldnt get the axle filler bolt out (tried everything) so i drilled a new hole and welded on a nut and bolt works ok so far :) and both axles now have fresh oil in.. transfer and gearbox are next on the list of oil changes.

Thanks you for reminding me i must change my gear and axel oils:doh::doh:

thats ok, yer i thought i better change them as i have no idea when it was last done as i have only had the car a couple months

Where do I start:rolleyes:

Fitted new samco boost hoses...all ok no problem.

Then the EGR kit...oh dear, bastid of a job. A bolt snapped in the egr port on exhaust manifold. Had to buy a right angle chuck to get in there and drill it out...took forever and lots of running around buying stuff.

Most definitely runns better though...pickup is smoother and seems to hold speed better on the hills:D

Leaky fuel regulator is my next job....looks like another nice job lol

Fitted my Safari Snorkle that has been filling my garage shelf for the last 6 months.

Fitted that is, right up to the point my drill bit snapped in the A pillar:doh:. Off to BnQ now to buy a new bit.
