Today, with the help of my TD5 discovery, I discovered 4 things...
1. An old coolant bleeder screw is prone to sheering off leaving the thread in the hole.
2. Duck tape is only waterproof on the non-sticky side
3. Duck tape is only sticky if kept cool
4. The only reliable way to secure the coolant screw head over the hole is to use a 2m luggage strap.

Its been a fun day with frequent stops at motorway service stations!

fitted the glass in rear door, made and fitted new battery cables and fitted bottom section of dash back in, starting to look like a 90 again :):):)

nah sunshining so pleasure to be outside doing bits, just need to find some wheel arch extensions, a mud dash or similar and couple of three point harnesses:D

yeah been lovely today shame i could'nt get to work on mine me mates got his sprinter van over the pit with brakes and bottom ball joints to replace
are you desperate for the 3 point harnesses ? i got a pair here but not sure if i'm going to fit them in the middle seats for the grandson in both landy's or not, got to look at the booster seat and see if it will take a 3 point belt or not .)

when i have got the old 90 box sorted i'll get onto it as the doris wants to take the rugrat out off-roading :D
as long as i dont end up with a disco box complete as he'll be changing gear for me from the middle of the booster seat :D

Washed mine yesterday :p

Bought more bits on eBay :D

Next weekend it'll be time to repair the front sunroof so I can actually park her in the rain

Found a leak coming from the top of the new thermostat I fitted in winter. Looks like the spring type jubilee clip has gone weak. If I get home from work on time one day this week I'll fit a decent jubilee clip on it.

Parked mine for the week because I just realised I've got no brake pads left.

Haven't got time to fit new one's until the weekend.

Also had a look to try and find where the oil is leaking from - seems to be somewhere near the fuel pump and so now wondering if it's actually diesel oil rather than engine oil.
