Called my Disco all sorts of names and began to worry if there's something wrong with it - it's taking longer and longer to start when cold. 30 secs turning over this morning - runs fine once it catches.


Glow plugs maybe?

Leak-off pipes. Little fabric covered pipes between injectors. They get hard and brittle and crack, which lets air into the system. They're only a push fit (3.2mm ID, IIRC) and you can get generic leak-off pipe from a motor factor by the metre very cheaply .. ;)

tim c ive just done my leak off pipes and have some left over,pm me an addy and ill send it you if you like;)
 
Fixed me left hand carb, runs better now, just have to tune them this afternoon and we're back cruisin. :cool:
 
Found out that 2nd batterys dont charge if the wire that triggers the split charge relay aint connected.
 
collected her from where I'd left her for 2 days after I left the keys at work (30miles away) and topped all the fluids up & put some doozel in her.
 
Finished of putting in the new steering box , second hand steering pump, new belt . took it for a run an all is well. Just the fog lamp earthing prob to sort.
 
I've got my new bluetooth dongle working with my bluetooth GPS, so now have big screen memory map.


Now just need a really long mains lead to power the laptop while I'm driving :eek:
 
I think the latest ones are well protected - you need to find someone with a previous version where it's easy to get around the copy protection.
