Decided that I needed to tweek the gear levers and make a new centre console/cubby box.

Held the torch while watching the SIL checking the points on her S1.
Handed her the feeler gauges and watched on while giving moral boosting humour.
Have a look on the morning if she has not fixed it by the time I come back
 
1.Fixed drivers side door bottom, with new brace/frame.
2.Repaired small hole in an underside piece, dont know what its called.
3.Painted inside battery box.
4.Fitted seat covers.
5. Touched up some rust spots.
6. Cleaned wiper blades.
7. Cleaned the cab out.
8. Drilled drain holes in pickup floor.
9. Cleaned all door seals and surrounding parts.

I would suggest you join a LR site for genuine reasons. Not to try sell your stuff, as genuine as it maybe be it isn't allowed. To be honest most on here would also think very dubious. You have posted in 2 threads now the same message. enjoy the spam you will receive.

Changed oil and filter in my TD5 Defender. I just wish I could meet the juvenile paper engineer who put the oil filter in a totally inaccessible place

If it is the same as TD5 Disco I have found it is handy to loosen it then put a dog poo bag around it then take it off. It catches most of the oil!

You should try changing the oil filter on a 2.4 VM, silly wotsits mounted it upside down, loads of rags, a silicon cooking tray and plastic bags gets most of it - sometimes.:mad::mad::mad:
 
todoy is the same as the last few days.. fiddling around trying to work out what's broken what's not and what the various switches do building up a list of things i need to start getting her sorted.. top of the list is some sort of Diagnosis computer magic box thing back in my day it was hawk eye but apparently they don't sell them anymore :(
