Why do people not send the correct parts....
Ask for a 1952 they send 54. Yep they changed parts and the supplier thinks they know better....
Well I know better than to use them for the next order
Hoses, cylinders are all different now to send some photos with my complaint.

I've got a few things I need to do. Despite renewing a good deal of the windscreen wiper system at Christmas I now have an issue that the wipers don't return to park position after I've used the washer. They do so after wiping normally, so I don't think it's the park switch because it is specific to the use of the washer. So it might be the wiper relay instead. I'll try another one of those first. Then I need to do something about the fact that I snapped the key off in the ignition on Sunday night. I managed to retrieve the missing piece by unravelling a safety pin to make a pointy tool and hooking it out but I need another key. Also, the rear window washer has stopped working. I could hear the pump going, and on removing the rear trim panel and pulling the pipe off, discovered that water comes out of the pipe when the button is depressed, so I need a new nozzle. So lots of little things to do.

Hmm not quite what I said but hey ho, some people would say this is why we love ‘em

Just deciding on a clutch kit now

Well thank you for that, I’ve started a thread on here asking about clutches. I spoke to Luke at LOF earlier who recommended the tgv one for mine due to the 33’s and it being turned up. My only thing is how bitey are they when setting off from junctions and needing to ride the clutch a bit as this is my Daily driver. I had a car with a paddle clutch years ago and it was like a switch so hoping it’s not like that

What have I done to my Landy????? Become it’s new owner! Bought a tidy looking 300tdi disco yesterday and will be getting the overalls on Later to have a look at the three holes I need to weld up

If you only find three you have probably struck oil with that purchase. If you have the skills it doesn't matter how many holes you find as you'll be able to deal with appropriately. I find the best advice is don't go looking for issues as the Defender is the gift that will keep on giving :D

Checked brake cylinder for the correct size & side of the motor.
It’s all good now & will fit.
as the motor was ex military it’s always fun matching parts to a supposed year.
So it’s a pre 53. now waiting for the correct flexi pipes to arrive. pointless putting old stuff back on to remove in a few years time ;)
