Got bogged down on a green lane and then when I got back on the road had massive steering wheel shake.
Checked it out when I got home and found I have required a massive wheel wait

My rear wiper hasn't worked for a while now, but after a good days laneing it's working with any input from me

Changed rear discs and pads along with both sets of rear wheel bearings, which led to me discovering that the o/s caliper piston had seized solid so changed the caliper and brake pipe seeing as that was also seized into the caliper.Happy days!

Fitted rear brake pads n passenger seat belt, then took her for her mot on sat, passed with flying colours even passed emissions on a quick pass! Not bad for a 31 year old 90 :)

Wanted to change my rear brake pads. Ended up being a considerably bigger job!

Rear discs where pitted and warped
Rear L/H Caliper was seized
Brake union rounded off, just as I got it off luckily! Going repair the brake line, replacing it is just asking for trouble!

Went on to the R/H side, wheel bearing was seized to the stub axle and had partially collapsed. So new Stub Axle and new wheel bearings.

All I wanted to do was change the pads!

Installed my Alpine EZi-DAB digital audio broadcasting converter to the existing factory fitted ICE system.
So far it seems to be OK, pictures and descriptions to follow when I get around to doing it.

Been doing a fair bit recently. New Wiper motor, full interior pull out and clean. Refurbished the grille and put a new bumper on too.

I have a whine coming from the rear axle somewhere, so decided to sort it out. Just ordered Timkin wheel bearing kits for both sides, Timkin diff bearings all round. New half shafts both sides. Lets see if that works?

replaced rear stub axles and seals, replaced all rear wheel bearings, replaced rear discs...tomorrow fit the new calipers and pads, bleed the brakes ready for work on Monday, what a relaxing weekend!!

This weekend I have
Put my new Bumper on ( need to get winch)
fitted light bar and loosely fitted spots, may change them for LED's
Taken off old running boards to aid in ground clearance
Found out my ACE is leaking :( but with the help of James hopefully it is fixable.

Replaced speedometer cable on my S3. It was the original one that had gone. Not bad for 33 years! Fitting was easy and a reminder of the utility basics that allows for such simple repairs in the design.

I painted the winch guard, next is to paint the new rear cross member with buzzweld :) oh n I need to grease my props :) was gonna say nipples! :0

Not all today, but in the last few days I've upgraded the headlights to a nice LED set with DRL (will probably keep those unplugged), replaced my aging worklight with a new baja design LED unit (and mounted betterererer), painted my light surrounds/grill and fitted a new starter motor

Oooh, and fitted a new raised 3D DEFENDER badge on the bonnet (then decided I didn't like the silver against the black so will probably end up painting it grey or black - D'oh)
