Mumble mumble moan fookin mumble

I have a rack just not fitted as yet its on my other 90....plus it nicely covered a scratch in the bonnet, £43 cheaper than getting my bonnet sprayed....like ya say each to there own ,would be a boring old world if we were all the same......

Fitted new door handles and locks and rear door lock as the previous ones were seized - fiddly job, but worth it as the keys all match and doors close properly. Landie was on a farm previously where locks weren't an issue.

Repaired the wiring to the driver's door window regulator.
It's been playing up for some time, but yesterday it failed completely. All the previous indications were that it was an intermittent break, now a full break in one of the wires inside the flexible rubber "tube grommet" between the A pillar and the door.

I decided to splice two new wires in (if one has broken the other one can't be far off breaking too). The hardest and most fiddly bit was getting the new wires down through the tube. Once that was done it was just a case of cutting off the old wiring and joining the two new wires. Then putting all the trim back.

Refitted the door cards following lock replacement. Re charged the battery as it has been standing and fitted the rear ladder that arrived in the post.

Hopefully tomorrow fitting an electric fuel filter heater to help the vegi flow, coolant heat exchanger for the fuel to follow.
1 mod at a time gives me less to worry about!

Apparently the electric ones are not much good. The water heated ones are far better but you have to switch over to them once the engine is warm.

Replaced Manifold gasket , timing belt and water pump - timing was 2teeth out at the cam shaft and 1 out at the pump. Pulled out the rocker shaft and checked the push rods and cleaned out the cyclone. Then set the tappets .

Rebuilt brake master cylinder and bled the brakes.

Still gotta go put the bonnet back on but its feeling good.

When it gets dark i have to set up the headlights

Fitted new intermediate pipe on exhaust system, engine oil change including sump gasket( painted sump hammerite blue just for the fun) and oil filter.

Also fitted Jerry cans to doors.
