Indicators working.............. :D

Heater blower working......... :D

Still fathoming the dip and main beam

Brake lights aaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Whilst wrestling with the bonnet of the 90 this afternoon to try and straighten it a bit more (after it got nicked) so it would close flush again I've now managed to jam it shut just as tightly as the thieving scrotes did when they wrecked the bonnet catch etc. trying to get under it; took about an hour to get it open then. Gave it up cursing this time, back to it tomorrow when I can feel my fingers again! Genius!

Cam belt snapped this morning, done less that 30k.
That'll teach me for going off road without any wadding plugs in.

Full belt kit (STC4096L) and push rods ordered, just need RAC to get it home and start stripping the rest of the bits off.
I've been there! Luckily I was local to home. So quick pull back from a mate. Its still haunting me though. Oil leaking out around the top of the cambelt housing

Yeah i went wadding the other week without wadding plugs fitted forgot all about them but only wadded once would that have done much damage to mine or am i best investigating

Until I get the cover off I don't know if water/mud has played any part.

Today I got it recovered to a mates workshop, so for once I wont be working out in the cold and rain.

Hopefully have it stripped tomorrow and see what happened, I'll post some pics.

Luckily I was just outside work, so with a short tow with the forklift it was safe on site.

RAC came in handy getting it recovered, something I just can't understand is I've not used them for years, then I brought an LR and have been recovered twice in a few months

towed for work to move unit. got home and cleaned and painted my new axle casing. trying out halfrauds enamel paint as hammerite has gone downhill and doesnt seem to stick like it used to

Take the grill off and pull the cable and reset the slam plate :)

Taken her to the local motor doctor for them to change the gearbox and transfer box oils, coz it's too cold and windy to do it out on the street! :)

Managed to get the steering wheel nut loose after a week of soaking it daily with WD and anything else I could squirt at the stubborn bugger, next is to try and get the bloody steering wheel off :(

I hope you know the trick to leave the nut on the final few turns then pull! If you remove the nut, when the wheel let's go you end up with your teeth attached to it rather than to your gums.

The cam belt kit turned up today, but not the push rods.

I'm off work today (man flue) so nothing has been done :(

Brake lights working................... :D

All the dash back togetherer........ :D:D

Off side break and tail swapped over...

Buddy ruddy stinking dip n main all futtoxed up still ..............

If I find any more bad earths, I'm hammering a copper rod into the drive and be done with it...........

Discovered that, having paid loads of cash for the oil changes to the gear and transfer boxes, I found that the stuff that had been put in was the wrong way round with ATF in the transfer box and EP90 in the gearbox!

Fortunately l use a local training garage, which now has my custom, sorted it out after using 2 gallons of oil dteregent to flush them out first!:cool::cool:

Spent another 4 hours trying to work out why the full beam works but the flash does not. After lots of cleaning earths and bullet connectors (working back from the headlamp) found that the spade on the fuse box was as good at conducting 12v as an embassy number one.

I am pleased to announce 'all the electrics are now working'. :D

That is apart from the washer motor that's winging its way to Bobsticle Towers as we speak.

Took mine to my local Landy guy here in France to sort out a vibration problem I have had for several months. We have tried everything. Think we have found what it is. Front Diff bearing plus it looks like someone else has had a go at it in the past and incorrectly assembled it. Should know on Wednesday if that as sorted it.
