Got her going again after sorting out the earth lead to the geadbox.

Finger tight is not good enough for an earth connection!!

I used to trust that local indi, but I have now lost all faith in them!

Found enough time to replace the fuel pressure regulator that had started leaking when I was driving it around on holiday last month.

lifted the discos bonnet for a winter check on fluids.
checked charging rate as not happy with batteries power,
so will need first to check batteries water/acid levels,
if ok isolate the second battery to do an overnight charge test..

was a pair of 2nd hand diesel mondeo batteries a few years ago so cant complain if ones going duff, must be at least 5 years old by now..

scraped the goo from my intercooler hoses, changed my soaking wet airfilter and replaced my air flow meter again, as they don't like to get wet apparently. Also learnt that using flooded roads at high speed does indeed wash the chassis quite nicely, but also washes the air intake too. Wish my snorkel would arrive soon..........

Replaced the leaking Disco 200tdi injection pump with a used one from a 300tdi what I got from a nice bloke on this here forum. Bit fiddly, and had to chisel off the plastic to get at the solenoid, but it went well, despite the rain. Pretty pleased really.

So far this week spent nearly £900 on the bloody thing..

Warn winch/bumper and 2 diff guards £260

New hook, thimble crimp £20
Belt kit, HD clutch kit and front crank seal £240
Genuine rear crank seal, bell housing plate gasket and set of core plugs £64

Just finished replacing rotten core plug on front of block behind timing case, now on with removing gearbox to fit new clutch, rear crank seal, gasket and disco transfer box.. I'm sure weekends were designed for relaxing!

Hit a deer on the way back from the yard but didn't kill it. Had to go back to the yard and ask the gamekeeper to finish it off. Made me sad :(

Finally had the time to take the turbo off and reconnect the waste gate actuator to the waste gate, fitted a new 2P C clip, that should stop it coming apart again.

I can now carry on tuning the new pump :D
