Put my new LED lights on this afternoon. Everything worked except the nearside rear indicator. Subsequent fiddling indicated that the wires in the multiplug were different from all the others - Land Rover had got them the opposite way round. For the early part of its life with a filament bulb this wasn't a problem but the LEDs are clearly polarity-sensitive. Pulling the pins out of the LED's multiplug and swapping them over sorted things out.

It's amazing the amount of corrosion on the old stuff. I'm surprised anything worked at all. So that's my little Christmas offering to the Lode Lane gods all complete.

Loved it and having a 90 showed everyone else that they couldn't do it. as I had to tow 3 cars out one being a range rover sport 2010 which now has no engine as it run on water for a bit:cool: and had to be put on the back of recovery truck 1-0 defender.

Pulled a car outta a ditch this morning. Young lass slid on the ice on a bend outside camp site

Good man many of people would of just sniggered and laughed.

Enjoy the 60mph kick down all the way to 6500rpm but I don't have a lr v8 any more

Kind of u minty, how much did it cost her?? Haha

Today I have fitted new rear wide angle prop so that's both on now and fitted new 6degree cranked trailing arms. Will fit front radius when it stops bloody raining for 5 minutes.

Saw one of the local rivers had raised a fair few feet the last few days so I went to have a look, turned round after getting through the first 20feet, it was already upto the sills. Not worth it with out the snorkel plumbed in and no one else with me.

Spent the day wiring in the dual parallel battery set up under the passenger seat and wired in the solenoid ready to feed power to the leisure battery and inverter that will live under the drivers seat....

then it was on to the much put off job of fabricating a new gearbox tunnel to suit the disco R380....... a few have said get a fender box but the disco box's are cheaper and I find the gearstick is in a much more sensible place :)
