Fitted a new battery and heard it start for the first time in 2 weeks :)
Noticed how damp the headlining is and the pool of water on top of the load cover :(
 
Wahoooo!! managed to make an engine mount for the 200tdi and get it painted and fitted this afternoon:D

I'll do the nearside tomorrow then can get on with connecting everything up:cool:

ah cool, i might need to knock some up soon, so just checking ;)

Got some of those wafer thin cutting discs from Tool Station, they are brilliant, did all my cutting today and still got a decent size disc for tomorrow. Like a hot knife through butter:D
 
Ooooo job for next week, new gearbox and disco tranny box to go in, with new clutch and new wide angle props

Just returned from Bearmach HQ with 5 bottles of ATF for £15. Just becasue I fancied my power steering was a bit stodgy yesterday. They is doing up the shop bit - looking good so far!

Topped it up in the car park and it seems much smoother now and it dun't make no hideous noises. Prolly time to drain it down, new hoses and ATF - maybe a job for one evening in the week.
 
Made an engine mount from Disco mount to fit 200 to defender:)

Silver passed her MOT, had full service, 2 new tyres, new battery, new coolant hose thingy (don't ask me!) and is driving bootiful.

Now, for the bill....:jaw:
 
spent two hours trying to adjust the difflock linkage without trying to take the tunnel off that was two hours of my life wasted!
 
Fitted a new finishing strip that goes across the dash as the old one was cracked, replaced all the valve stem caps and reset valve clearances.
 
My new Marsland chassis arrives at my mechanic's on Monday, so I've been dreaming of getting my 110 V8 on the road. This has mostly involved reading on lz about headlamp upgrades and other such details.
 
Thought about fitting new brake master cylinder thats been sat here for ages, then thought about doing the new windscreen and vent seals...... then remembered how much other work needed sorting out before I could get on onto doing the landy....doh!! at least got her serviced and new downpipe fitted last weekend so alls progressing still :)
