Drove back from the B & W show, then fitted new centre locker, front lamps, new license plates just new wiring to add and rear lamp....been a a fab weekend :) :)

Parked it on the "other" drive so I could do a service on a Renault Clio and a Skoda Fabia. I have to say Skoda engineering is waaaaay better that French crap.

Painted my chassis, Fitted the back axle and got started to rebuild front ready for fitting tomorrow :)

Funny that, everything on the car has VW/Audi parts stickers on it. The only thing that says Skoda on it is the badge on the boot lid. The Renault on the other hand has rubbish written all over it.

You know it is basically a VW polo. I have one as my daily and love it.

I have a 2004 golf gt tdi and wouldn't buy another!

When it does die my next economical car will be a Skoda VRS (diesel if they do one) or if not I'll be looking at getting something like a vauxhal van or transit connect

On my way back from the Bristol and west show yesterday, one of the brake dust shields started making more of a racket than normal. I got my pry bar out and shifted the offside one further away from the disc but the other bugger was still grinding. I went to move that and suddenly realised that the mounting bracket that should be spot welded to it wasn't attached any more. I must admit that I am extremely impressed that a britpart part lasted a month in my front room without breaking and 120 miles on Tarmac before giving up the ghost. It must be a new record for longevity of a britpart part.

By the time I'd finished unloading all the tat from the weekend I could'nt be arsed to go to work so I wired up me spots instead :D

Trying to get my feeble head around wiring in a relay got much easier when I finally realised the one I'd pikeyed off Pikey dint work :frusty:
