Are you going in to Kent from there? Hythe is a nice seaside town to visit.
Or Tunbridge Wells to the north.

Not really we are down visiting family
More than sightseeing ( might have a go next summer)
Been to Bournemouth beach this morning
And going to a lake soon
But back up the road road tomorrow

All but a 1000m
Since Friday all well and really enjoyed the run out

Only one concern is the complete lack of Freelander 1 on the roads
I have noticed the decline in them for sale but this entire weekend I actually can only say I seen a
56 reg hse 5 door in that minging green 🤮 in a pub car park
And what looked like a clean original back facelift commercial parked up
On the side of a house near Ringwood ( if anyone knows it I am looking for a commercial)
not much of a heard of the MK2’s ether don’t think I seen 5 of them

Yes - sadly there are less and less of them on the road. Especially good working order ones 😉
We have to look after them…

Been on the one eye look for a commercial for past 6 years

Been looking with one eye for a commercial
Last 6 years but i think i should use both eyes now or that will never happen
They are definitely dwindling 🥺
Mine is a absolute pleasure and very very good underside so proper maintaining should keep her going till it’s taxed to death and then parked up for my retirement

Ditto.
Very little (surface) rust showing on mine - and I have treated the underside, so well protected.
If looked after, they are great little cars and very capable off road too.

I’m a little undecided what to do with my F1. It breezed through its MOT last weekend, and is a joy, but I’ll not get much use in it this winter as I’ll be tinkering with my F2. My heart says to keep it, it’s little £££, and he has his space on my drive.

Hi All,

Had mine on a decent code reader last night thanks to my neighbour.
The ask is can you please have a look at the data in the images and see if anything jumps out at you, are the readings ok/ concerning in any way? I'm thinking the fuel compensation is concerning for Injector 1 and 4 am I right in thinking that?
Is P1110 a common code what's the fix for that, we cleared it and it kept coming back.

Checked tracking on a known good set up and one with tyre edge wear.

Bought one of these:

Very good device. Repeatedly fitted to known good car and all good and repeatable results.

Tyre wear vehicle was 20 degrees toe in too much.

Always have 4 or 5 spare ones !

Another 10 years they will be worth sensible money. Buy up the low mileage ones now !!

Nice 50k 3 door on Marketplace. Metallic orange 🍊!!

New toy. Simple job first I thought - ease into the bigger stuff 😉

So I thought I’d protect my bonce and replace the rear tailgate gas struts… the tailgate was struggling a little to fully extend smoothly.
Quick job - just unclip the old ones and clip new ones on, so popped out to the drive in between the rain.
Rushing, I forgot that when you take one old one off, the remaining strut will not be strong enough to hold the tailgate up. Luckily, I was stood under the tailgate at the time, so my head caught it and it didn’t slam down 😵‍💫🫣

So, my little job to protect my bonce actually hurt my bonce.

Still - all done now 😁

It kept crying about low coolant so I fed it some as a treat

Which seems weird since I had it serviced at LR in August. Did they not look at it? It was below minimum

Sprayed PB Blaster over all the bolts relating to the removal of the rear sub frame and suspension arms next week.
Will give them another liberal coating on Tuesday.

Genuine LR propshaft flange bolts received and in the parts box ready.

And got a bigger jack and a larger set of axle stands. Much better now with a 4” pad.

We had a big day out, I needed 3 hours continuous running to update the maps in the navigation suite. Here's how that went;

Set off, started update. We'll need 02:47:00 to complete the update.
I'd read that if you turn the car off during this, you brick the navigation. So I got a bit nervous when It had been about 10 minutes and the "Updating..." % had been stuck at 0 for that time.
At about 15-20 minutes, it pranged up to 5%.
When it hit 80% it decided that the update was interrupted and to please re-insert the disk. I ejected my USB and plugged it straight back in, it resumed.
It got to 100% and said "Navigation Unavailable". Then it asked if I'd like to update the maps, and that it'd need 02:47:00 to do so!
I pressed cancel, got out and went for a walk around. Turned the car off before I went.
On getting back, I start it up, and it instead says "Version of maps in navigation is newer than the disk".

I ask for my route home and it takes me all the way back. Result!
