I can’t remember this entire summer getting to wash the Freelander
What a complete wash out ! I never usually bang on about the rain as it’s Cumbria
But this year as taken the Pi££
So I decided today was the day before dark nights and more rain
Off to south cost next weekend so oil change and levels need doing this weekend
So please please wether be kind ☹️
Looking good.
I've got to give my Freelander 2 the same treatment on Saturday, as it's off to a new owner on Sunday. I'd like the car clean for it's long journey East.

Smashing looking motor.

Some decent cabbage trees you got there to. Bain of my life (or 1 of them anyway) continually tidying up their dropped leaves.

… well I thought I had an issue with my F1 this morning. Popped to the shop in it and started to see smoke coming from underneath whilst stationary.
Then I realised the FBH had actually kicked in, and was exhausting from the front!

So with that, and the central heating already coming on 2 nights ago, I’d say we are safely into autumn!

🥺
It’s like a Caribbean island after a windy night 🙄 running around the street picking them up !
Sometimes a pile appears on my drive
All neatly pack
Not sure exactly who puts them there or where from 🤣

Used it to move a lathe and boxes of tools and accessories. Going to photo and sell for widow of good friend who sadly won't need it anymore 😔

If anyone wants a bargain and can collect from North Devon. Warco BH600 Lathe.

Pm me. Listed on ebay for next to nowt.

As MOT is due soon, I decided today is the day I tackle the issue with the handbrake warning light.
Checked fluid level - looks ok, but noticed the sensor was broken!
Took it out and wedged a wire in to short the connection and the light goes out as it should.
It looks like there are some used ones available for a tenner so I'll be getting one of those!

Mine did that 🥺 could not work out how 🤷‍♂️

Just been out with Hawkeye, seems it doesn't like me looking in there. If I clear all DTC codes and start the car, it's fine. If I try and access say.. infotainment, it starts throwing up all kinds of errors on the car itself and hawkeye says "Control unit not found".

Clear them again, start the car? No errors. It's like it doesn't like me looking

It doesn't have an infotainment system, so it won't find it. ;)

That's unfortunate, the nonexistent system has; a charging system fault, a gearbox fault, an engine temperature indication fault, stability control is not available for the nonexistent infotainment, and a park brake fault

Why would they put that in the menu 😂

Yesterday, a friend fitted the set of mud flaps to my Freelander 2. Took three week for them to arrive from China and got held up in customs for several days but im happy with the look. They look ok and cheap at £29 all in.

I've just realised that you've got a Freelander 2. That does have an infotainment system, so ignore my previous post.
However if the car is working as it should, and you're getting errors, then it's likely due to an issue with the diagnostic device. I'm not up on the Hawkeye, but I remember reading that it wasn't fully compatible with the FL2, so maybe you're getting codes which are erroneous?
