Today I treated Budy to an oil change, as it occurred to me that it's 10 months overdue.
Who's a naughty boy then ? :).
I'm 60 next week & despite best intentions I find things like this creep up & whizz past before you know it, that reminds me I forgot to do the dogs flea/tick treatment Wed. (even though I put it on the calendar, doh) so better phone my daughter as we're away as of today.

I don't expect the efficacy of the previous dose of the poison will disappear so instantly :(

Drove my FL2 to Wembley from Cornwall, which took over 7 hours!! However the slow speed was good for fuel consumption.

The range remaining is also showing 400 miles, which means at the current consumption rate, it'll do over 800 miles to a tank.

Replacement of all the rear bulbs, unfortunately when I went to investigate the stalk above the spare wheel the lens on that might've cracked a little.. a lot.. shattered into three pieces when prised with a screwdriver

Does anyone know the part code for the cap that's supposed to go over that bulb? ..And what the bulb itself is meant to be, it's blown up right over the ID

Findings: AMR4104 and a W16W maybe?

Newly blasted subframe
What’s people’s opinion on power coating or good old paint brushing a quality paint on ?
No one will ever see it so cosmetics don’t matter and hopefully this will last a lifetime
The spare wheel carrier is surplus now if anyone is interested?

I've found the powder coat chips off if impacted by stones, giving an area exposed to the weather again.
I like to use Bonda Primer and then a good quality paint over the primer. The paint will still chip off from stones, but Bonda holds fast, maintaining protection, and because the primer is red, it makes spotting stone chips easy, so a top coat can be reapplied.

My opinion is that too
It will probably never be scrapping over rocks so the most damage it will get is off axle stands and stone chips which is easier maintenance if it’s painted

Definitely use Bonda primer on blasted metals, as it won't come off. This will be the metal protection medium, the paint top coat is there as look shiny and helps keep water off the primer.

It was late yesterday evening. I drove back home from London, which took a much more sensible 5 hours. I had to stop 3 times to top up the coolant (yes I really must get round to replacing the HG) and averaged 44.6 MPG in total for the 600 mile round trip, which isn't too bad at all.

Drove it - passed an auspicious 'milage' today.
And actually stopped to take the picture 👍

Really good mpg shame about the coolant loss
