I wonder will you sort your miss fire first or will I get my EV going first?

Race ya!!!! :p

I'll sort it Ali, don't worry.
What's odd, is my normal morning and evening drives are issue free, it's only once its heated up thoroughly that the problem manifests itself.

I've bitten the bullet and ordered new plugs, 3 colours of 0.75mm extra flexible silicone wire, and gold plated connectors for the new plug.

I'm going to make up and solder in a new section of harness from the top of the engine to down to the crank sensor at the bottom.
Oh and fit an OE sensor, keeping the working spare in the boot.
After that I'm going to start swapping injectors about to try to solve the slight shake the engine has between 1800 and 2200, which seems to be pretty common on this vehicle.

I had a fault at work a bit like that.
We got a call that a segment of a network in a school was down but when I arrived it was OK.
Next week the call came in again and again by the time I arrived it was OK.
Eventually I arranged to be there first thing Monday morning and thankfully the fault was showing when I arrived. I managed to trace it to a wall port that was above a radiator and a few minutes after I found it the fault disappeared again. Turned out to be a bad connection that only showed when the room was cold.
Good luck finding your fault, you'll need it.

Good guess, but not right... I've alreafy got a soft top in the garden shed, but never fitted it. Might try that for the summer.
So no one else seems interested, but I am. What's the accessory? Sunglasses holder that attaches to the drivers side handle blanks in the headlining?

My daily driver is my BMW 635d, and it also responds well to a long, or even decent, drive. After a few weeks of running around the doors where it's longest stretch is 8 miles through two villages and back again, it feels very sluggish at the bottom end of the tacho, after a 35 mile each way trip to Aberdeen and back it always feels like it's gained an extra two cylinders as it is so much more responsive.

As for the FL1, just bought it another rare, genuine accessory to go along with the pop up cup holder, 3 door rigid parcel shelf, targa sunblinds.... Any guesses as to what it might be?
(It's going to be a few months before I fit the new accessory as I'm at sea on a ten week deployment.)
Shower curtain ?

OH SO TANTALISINGLY CLOSE!!! We need to ask the audience does Hippo get the (imaginary) prize?
come on @Jayridium , put us out of our misery.

Rare accessory! :D a couple of months ago I scored a rare accessory for my '98 K series - a new, boxed & unopened Dash Kit - Wood Look [LF1041] - That'll smarten up the inside! Might have to acquire some sheep skin seat covers to go with it too. :D

That is swish!

Had a delivery of some of what I need to sort out the CAS sensor issue.
I'm just waiting for the plugs and new sensor, so I can move on to the next issue.
