I've got a few Ecoworthy panels Ali, and all seem pretty reasonable for the cost.

There some odd with the description though, as it claims to charge a 40Ah battery in 36 hours, which for a 5.5 Amp panel, would be under 10 hours. :confused:

I'm sure whoever did the maths in description got it wrong, as these panels do perform OK for the money. ;)

Having said that I'm not sure why I bought it in the middle of January but I guess browsing Amazon with a glass of wine in your hand is a bit dangerous. :oops:

I get about 100 Whr of energy from a 100W panel in winter Ali, although I'm a bit further south than you.

We get about 2/3 to 3/4 the hours of Sun that southern England gets :( but it should still be worthwhile. :)
Hopefully it will be dry enough this weekend for me to get it mounted on my shed roof.
 
Having had a new clutch (and associated bits) fitted this week, today I am mostly investigating why the drivers door window stops one third of the way down its travel. Deep joy!
 
What's up with it?
It has the emission engine light since running low on fuel and I can’t find out why.

Tried various code readers and nothing comes up, no codes at all. I used the iCarsoft reader and it was only showing Abs and immobiliser modules.

i have changed the fuel filter and drained the sediment filter and it starts and runs fine, just can’t find why the light is on.
 
Had the most fun food shopping for a while. First time I have had it out on the snow with AWD and the tyres. Black ice is still black ice, but if it's just snow you don't really notice.
As long as you are not being a dickhead on the throttle it will trundle along through anything.

cleaned the water and ice from inside boot switch, and sprayed with electrical cleaner,
put grease around rubber seal and went inside to defrost my hands.:D
 
Full service and some...

BG EPR put in pre oil change, used 5w - 30 oil this time round. EGR delete carried out and replaced numerous hoses to DHP motorsport, A treatment of extralube ZX1 gone in with new oil and also BG premium 245 gone in the diesel. I did exactly the same to the D3 and it improved it no end, took the TD4 round the block and seems much more responsive now. Mileage 129200
 
Hi, yes drained and also changed the fuel filter, air filter and breather filters.
If it runs ok it might just need the code clearing via diags..have you tried the old unplugging the battery for 10 mins old chestnut trick.
 
Went Sledging - couldn't resist it - 6" of powder snow on a frozen hard field at my disposal.
Got out the FL2 first - felt totally capable even on slight hillstarts - tried to compare the normal setting and the snow setting - did not notice much difference - if anything it steered better in deep snow on the snow setting. Couldn't hang the arse out because if I overgunned it it just said don't be a pratt and took over the throttle - or appeared to. Nice to see the Haldex performing properly on the back wheels. ABS worked very well but this is deep snow - may require more caution on black ice etc.
Then I got out the FL1 - which just totally ignored the adverse conditions and behaved perfectly - no wheelspin nothing - if anything felt even safer than the FL2 - possibly helped by the lower power delivery. ABS action seemed softer in some way too.
Both cars Auto and on road tyres.

I've not driven my FL2 in bad conditions, actually it's not let me drive it much, full stop. :mad:

However I've driven FL1s in all conditions over the last 15 years, and it's true, they are totally ignorant of whats under the wheels. Obviously you can't chuck them about on snow, like you can on dry tarmac, but they are really very good on the slippy stuff. The ABS is just a sensitive enough to maintain steering when needed, but not so over sensitive to prevent braking altogether. Traction wise, it makes little difference what is under the tyres, they just go where you point them. :)

Nothing showing on diagnostics no codes at all. I have also tried disconnecting the battery for an hour and no different.
