Fitted new alpine Bluetooth radio, £150 with a specific FL double din cage and a cable so steering controls work. Well happy with it sounds miles better than the standard head unit.

I have the previous faulty one for sale for parts, with a code if anyone's interested.

Where did you get this from?
 
I was checking everything was tight and secure in prep for the start up this week end. Put all pipes / hoses on and checked clamps, fitted PAS belt, fitted A/C - alternator belt tensioned it and tightened the locking bolt - a bit to much. A good one looks like this.

My one looked like this :(

A s/h on here would cost £40, a new one from the UK is about £30 and a six to ten day wait - airmail.
I had a good think about this and could see a way of effecting a repair! I trimmed off the remaining threaded shaft, and drilled through to the threaded tensioner bolt hole.

Then I screwed in a replacement threaded shaft [ same thread as original] with some locktight. Looks as good as a new [nearly].

Will be ready for start up this Saturday morning!
 
went to look at doing the rear wheel bearing... then realised i really cant be arsed today and went back inside.
 
Got now both SS pipes fitted and polished, polished Turbocharger, black exhaust elbow and manifold, new hub bearings all around :D , IRD oil changed after her first 2000 miles.

Waiting for new rear diff :cool:

Left it at the garage for an MOT ...find out tomorrow if she lives or dies ;)

Tomorrow comes and ....she lives on :)

Drove to yorkshire in the ****ing rain in the orange one yesterday, lovely drive down it was, sit back with cruise control on :D
 
Changed ALL 6 spark plugs; changed the oil; changed the oil, air and cabin filters; replaced the thermostat housing and leaking coolant pipe; replaced duff O rings on the fuel rail; replaced cracked breather hoses; cleaned out the throttle body; drilled out a busted screw on the ECU cover; cleaned out the inlet chamber; cleaned VIS motors; replaced the split front propshaft gaiter; and topped up the IRD. Now just got to tackle the rear door lock. What joy...:)
