Sunny and windy down south in Dunners:D

I'm sure it is, I had a great couple of days down there, but had to come back to Chch early on Saturday. The L Series performed fantastic on the trip, returned 6.9L/100KM 41MPG and met a couple of "rellies" enroute...

Still trying to attach both props onto my VCU.

I just can't get them to slide on.

I have filed the splines but still no joy.

Is there a knack to doing it?
:frown:

I wouldn't want to file, only a bit of sandpaper I get rid of the rust. The hard bit is sanding in between the splines. Put a bit of grease in there on the splines. It will make it easy to take it off next time too

Use a wire brush to do the splines, brush along the splines for best effect. The coupling needs to be perfectly lined up with the splines or they simply won't engage.

Drove to north wales. Went exploring along the way. Ended up going down what I thought was a gated road and ended up going 2 miles or so down someone's drive. Whoops!

Also went up some VERY steep hills. I was struggling in first at one point will the missus screaming she wanted to get out. That was fun :)

Saw a few people out laning. Wanted to join in but thought better off it. I already found a worrying new knock at the top of a mountain with strong winds and horizontal downpour but I couldn't see anything wrong. It did remind me I was 300 miles from home If anything went wrong though

We basically went Oswestry, Bala, Betws-y-Coed to Llandudno but going on as little main roads as we could. Took the wrong road out of Oswestry and ended up towards Llanfyllin so went on some proper small roads. Down to Cardiff tomorrow

And I traced the plastic under tray shape onto my chequer plate ready to cut out.
It looks like I will have enough from a 1000mm x 600mm section to do the plate & brackets.

Replaced my low pressure fuel pump. Took an hour, including phone calls interrupting me, from changing out of suit to putting it back on, ready to got out to see another client....

Let's see if that cures the EML coming on.

Ever since I passed my test at 17, my grandfather has bought me a bottle of Lidl bumper black.
After the first wash on my 1.4Si Corsa I never bothered to use them again, so they've slowly multiplied in the garage!!
So today I used it & am amazed at how well it works!!!

I tried my best to no wipe the mud off when I wiped the bumper black foam into the bumpers, after all its a Land Rover & should be dirty!
Must also mention how easy it is to apply on a 4x4 which requires far less bending down than my previous cars!!!

Next planned trip is in May for the Highlanders vs Crusaders - booked our tickets yesterday :)

Only problem with that is which shirt to wear! Spent 2 years in Dunedin as a kid (Mornington Primary) so have the Highlanders top but now living in Chch so have a Crisaders top - decissions decissions :)

Then it started to rain so I rush around like a mad man putting the power tools away before they got wet!

To be continued...

Sat in it for a long time driving back from wales. 800 miles in 3 days and I didn't really feel it. Couldn't do that in a trattor!
