Fitted a reversing camera in my horsebox and monitor in the hippo to key an eye on her. Used a wireless system from ebay £40 but a crap reception so moved back to wired, excellent quality image. Wired straight into horsebox electrics to get a constant feed

I wondered if it would be a crappy reception. Ill go for the fully wired one then. It is cheaper too:)

fitted some 'Winbo' side bars... the fitting kit was horrendous, i wouldn't recommend them....

Driven it loads, like yesterday, & the day before & the day before that...........................
Put Bluespark tuning box on on monday, 31mpg before, I'll report back. Driveability much improved and really picks up if I floor it from a standing start. It's only £150 so it's a lot cheaper than a remap and if you can get to Bishop Auckland, they put it on for you for free! There's a money back guaranty as well.

gave it a wash so it didn't look too shabby next to my new tdv6 disco 3 :p
just gotta get the diff changed and the prop back on with a new vcu and then i can start stripping it all out! mwahahahaha (maniacally drumms fingers together)

Just back from Italy - this was a 2500Km round trip (based in Belgium so saved a couple of hours from tunnel). Down through Germany and Austria back up via Switzerland, France and Luxembourg. I did oil change before setting off and had no problems. The autobahn speed was max 160 but cruised at 140 (Kmph before anyone has heart attack!) no problems going over the Alps (did use roads).
The wife and 3 kids chose the Hippo instead of my newer Audi A6 Allroad - hippo is LHD and Audi is RHD so hippo is easier to drive.
Very happy with the hippo its a 2003 TD4 Auto with 125000km.

took the SShuttle valves out today to fit the ones i had from another pump and to see how it goes one of the old valves was constantly sticking as you pressed it

while i was at it i also did the disco shuttle valve bypass just to be on the safe side as it saves taking them back out if it was a connection inside the pump

next thing to look at is the throttle when i put my hawkeye on and press accelerator to the floor the hawkeye only says 77%

Fed up of my grubby leather steering wheel - lived with it for a year, enough is enough so dyed it black :)

Drove all the way to Dunstable to pick up some 16 " alloys with General Grabbers AT2's in 215/65/16 flavour
Makes the Hippo look a lot more manly now the steel rims are gone
