finally separated the front propshaft from my old VCU - had to beat the **** out of it and soak it in copious amounts of WD40
Now going to try and clean up the splines before attaching it to the new VCU (with a ton of grease on the splines !!!)

New VCU and bearings installed
Felt immediately better :)
hopefully my IRD is saved from LR syndrome !!!!!

In a fit of enthusiasm following early success with amigoes fix, drove into MOT place to book and they had a cancellation there and then - went for it and bugger me she passed. Another year of hoping for the best stretches before us, our sixth year together. I am mighty pleased!!

Luck sod!

We lesser mortals have to fix things before we get a bit of paper from crappy printer. :(

Not even a proper certificate these days. :(

What's the world coming to? Moan, moan, moan ......... :p

Certainly realise I was lucky today - but i did do a fair amount of work over the summer. Rear wheel bearings, drums, linnings, rear brake pipes, pads on front, windscreen and other stuff I cant recall. :)

will take it for a spin to collect new new air and cabin filters for my 5 series - currently in bits in the garage with a cracked exhaust manifold :)

Finally got round to taking pics of the exhaust guard I fitted a couple of weeks ago and fitted an LED interior light.
