It certainly has flaws, but it's something I tried for the first time since I saw it on YouTube and I did it with a lot of pleasure. I also saved a lot of money, it cost me 40 euros (9 euros per meter and 12 for the glue) and they asked me for 170 or 200.
The link of the video I got help is here. If you need more info PM me, I'll be glad to help.
Cheers
You've done a great job. Well done.

Did you have any difficulty removing any of the plastic trim without breaking anything?

No I just pulled them from the top as gentle and polite I could. My advice is to get one of those (just un example) sets of tools, it will be much easier. The clips of the trims are not so easy to break but you never know how they will behave after 20 years.

Just a bit of a frivolous one today. Fitted some Peugeot mist washer jets.

One thing I think the FL2 should have is mist jets. It has the standard 2 jet variety, which is really old fashioned. Unfortunately they're heated, so I can't get any old mist jet for them, and the ones I've found that might fit are silly money. The search will continue.

Put it through a car was, as my farmer neighbour spread lime on the fields surrounding my house last week, and most of it seemed to end up on the cars. :(
It's looking shiny now though. :)

did a drivers door lock at the weekend - wasn't too bad all done in a couple of hours. with the speaker out access to the glass catches was easy - the replacement part just didnt work from the inside when reassembled correctly i had to place the cable to the outside of the catch it was supped to slide onto - just as well there is cable tie slots there to hold it in place.

Plops???

I assumed a typo, and didn't ask more.

How's that EV coming along Ali?
Slowly mate.
Really busy with work atm and family stuff so not spending enough time on it.
I have the pack stripped with all connections and modules labelled so I'm going to play with them for a bit to see if I can coax the Leaf charger to charge them
I suspect it won't but worth a try. Then I'll take a look at fitting the modules to see how many I can get under the floor at the back.

Work and family come first Ali, which is one reason it's taken me 30 years to get almost nowhere with my 72 Avenger GT.:oops:

It's strange how the backs are different sizes, very odd.
Hopefully the Leaf BMS will like them, but it might not. :(

If your looking at the two modules on the left they still have mounting plates bolted to them when I took the photo. They are the same as the others. ;)
There are other differences tho, eight of the larger modules are masters with BMS electronics included, the rest are all slaves.

That's interesting. Do you know how those will integrate with the Leaf BMS? Or will you use more slave modules instead?
