That the auto?

What are you going to do? Ashcroft?

Nah if I can't do it myself I probably won't bother.
I guess it could still be solenoids although it was going ok
Will measure when I get it home, maybe something will be more obvious now

changed the cv boot on back passanger side today

bought a boot kit with a cone ,what a load of dog **** that was !!!!!!!

the boot eventually stretched over the cone but ripped as it came back off :mad: (i had 2 and both did same, cheap ****)

so lucky i had a nomal one kicking around so went old school and just pulled the hole cv joint off and fitted it that way

was also going to change the steering track rod ends as passenger side one has some play and is knocking on bumps (got a friend in a mot bay to have a quick look up on the ramps to tell me what the noise was lol ,dreaded mot in 3 weeks :-( )

but was waiting for the post man to drop them off but he did not arrive till 1600hrs by which time i had packed up because of rain

so looks like tomorrows job lol

Measured the solenoids, all seem ok.
I suspect a worn clutch band is mucking up the fluid, even 25 litres of fluid later!
I think this is going to be something I'm not going to be able to fix.

Replaced the dead rear parking sensor beeper.

They now work. I can now park more confidently in small gaps again.

:D

Probably the piston has split. It's not an imposable job to do DIY, the box doesn't need to come out ether.

Posted it in the "for sale" section prior to scrapping.
Will most likely be buying another ;)

Sold it. Got more or less what I wanted for it. Be sad to see it go but it had to. Just need to finish my Ex Royal Marines Lightweight, sell that, sort my Rally Freelander once and for all and start using that in anger!

moving soon and need to tow my classic mini and garage tools as movers will not take

so searched ebay for a trailer ,found one and got it for a steal (well i think so worked out after exchange rate to £436 )

its def ####ing massive !!!!! but can ne multi purpose not just for car

not sure how much i can tow with my td4 but trailer is weighted to 2000kg ,i assume freelander will be able to tow around 1000kg ,maybe someone could let me know?

Had the aircon re-gassed at Kwik fit.
And they didn't mess owt up and were very polite, Rotherham branch.
Now ice cold, brrrr

2000kg tow limit. But best not to over do it. I stop at 1500kg.
