Looking like when mine is fitted next week, I'm going to have to get some larger tyres. Those look lost in the wheel arches

Problem. Need more cash for them.

I wonder what I can go up to, or even get for my 17" wheels. I like the look of the Evolution wheels. My 16" wheels have 215/60 R16 winter tyres on them. With this cold weather, it looks like it will be time to fit soon.

Serious questions:
Are those 40mm and did you only have to undo the top of the strut, or did you need to undo the bottom as well?

Had to undo the bottom as well. I tried spring compressors but there is so much travel on the strut that it still was too tall to drop down enough when only releasing the top.
O/S rear was fine but N/S bottom bolt wouldn't play fair!

That looks ridiculously high! Suspension mustn't have settled down properly when that pic was taken?

Replaced the offside ARB drop link and fitted a new boot to the lower ball joint in preparation for the MOT later this month.

Finished fitting my 40mm lift kit today.
Fitting the camber bolts was a pain in the rear end and initially the steering rods clipped the inner wheel arch but once the wheels were on and it was sat on the drive there was plenty of space. No notching on. The steering at all.

Pleased with the height gain, just need some sensible tyres on it now!

I wasn't aware the rears needed camber pins as well as the fronts.
