Had a Disco day today - no idea how I got away with spending the entire day out there, especially with the in laws over. :
serviced (oils and filters)
fuel filter
cleaned engine bay
removed all the rear side trim and cleaned it properly (easier out of the car)
refitted the rear seats (3rd row)
fixed the PDC
new wipers
greased props
changed front brake discs
interior clean
new gaitors - handbrake, L/H and gearstick
Lithium grease on hinges..

So a good day. Reason I am posting this is just in case anyone wants to know how to any of the above..

Busy day!

I have just bled my coolant system tonight. Then I topped up the transmission fluid. I really hate lying under the car with the engine running!!

Me to
But mine was over two days, But looks great.

New light bar and raised air intake....

How did you fix the PDC?
It never worked.and I just ignored it, but while I had the rear left trims out, behind the bottom section in the space was the PDC controller - with a couple of wires off and a multiplug thing loose.. boom. Done.

Cheers. Mine is a bit more complex. I think the XYZ switch on the gearbox is not giving out the signal for reverse lights and the PDC needs this signal to work.
Thought you might have done something else I might try but the plugs and wires are all ok.
Cheers.

Put mine in for a respray on the 4th Jan. dropped round today to see how it's coming along. Hardly been touched. Lights and snorkel have been removed, and that's about it.

Attempted to remove the head bolts today of my V8 Disco 2 but my socket kept slipping on the first bolt resulting in bleeding knuckles. I'm not too sure whether the slippage is due to using a 16mm 12-point socket or should I use a 6-point 5/8" instead?

ooo how hard is it to add the light bar.. ?
want one.
Hi mate
Sorry for the long time repliy. Got it off e-bay with the 6 spot lamps, Hardiest job is the wiring. All i did was to put two wires, one from the battery and the second from the hi beam upto the sunroof console. Then (this was scary) drilled a hole for the wires from the spot lights to the switches/relays. But later on i will be looking at getting a water prove connecter, So if i want/need to take the roof bar off. I will upload pics when all done.
Thanks

Took my sparewheel off because it looked like the carrier needed a bit of TLC...only to find that 2 of the 3 mounting studs were fatigued to the point of only having an inch or so of solid connection to the carrier itself [Gulp!].
Cue phonecall to Rimmer Bros.

The consequences...Ch**t, that is *not* the sort of You've Been Framed clip I'd ever want to see myself in and if you've any nagging concerns at all about your own carriers...please just give them a check.
