Another fault found….
Head light high beam/flash not working
(Lucky I have a back up switch wired up to the relay so still have to check colum stalk)

Not got a single wipe either, when I got her the wipers were rigged to a switch on the dash , fitted the new stalk but aware I'm a wire short hence the lack of intermitant wipers , a job to add to the list

again , my wash is a button on the dash , sure the last owner had an obsession of alternative solutions to practical Installations, try saying that with a mooth full of rivets

First heavy frost this morning and while standing in the gaff with a cuppa, pressed a button and in a few mins watched the frost and snow melt like butter on hot toast, chinese heater was roaring like a Tornado on take off.

I have one of these in the garage ready to fit along with the other essentials... Thinking under the driver's seat

That's where I've got mine but the only issue is the heat is meltingly hot on your feet and legs as i have the heat duct straight out the front of the seat box, thinking of making a shield so the heat is delfected to the sides .

Not enough room to put tube on and direct up into cab? I thought about putting it behind the passenger seat... She isn't the tallest so have the room

TBH , I kept the unit quite central in the box meaning the exit port is maybe 50mm max from the front of the seat box, it may be possible to keep the unit tight to the back to allow some flexibility to direct the heat pipe elsewhere , I think I chose the central position due to the fact that the casing comes off by removing the cup/disk to the rear of the unit, may have been better to turn the unit 360 deg and look to bring the heat pipe up the back of the seat

The 90 (Norman) passed his emissions test today :):):):):)
Here in froggy land I have to have the emissions tested every year even though the CT (mot) is every 2 years, due to my health problems this year I forgot to get it done, should have been done in June :eek: lucky no plod have had a look or I would have been in trouble.
Anyway, Saturday I shoveled a bottle of cleaner into the tank and gave him a good Italian tune-up for 60 miles. (didn't know I could get 60 mph in 3rd:cool:)
Passed this morning with flying colours, in fact the tester said the emissions were really good for a 30 year old diesel.

Next problem to rear it's head ............. I think the battery is on the way out, struggled to start this morning in the cold, I was certain it was only 4 or 5 years old, when I looked through my file of receipts it is nearer 10 years old. So not too bad then, where do the years go???????????

The ole girl sprung a leak from the steering box , spent an hour and a bottle of fairy liquid washing the drive , Mrs moremuckmush donated a washing up dish for a catchment tray . Can't complain too much I've had a good few weeks of trouble free .... ish driving until now
