Thats nice,Me Likey.

I just tuned my FIP a bit more.......Could not do the radius arm bash as the bolt is seized in the internal sleeve, so had to order new bolts, Darn it....LOL.

Cheers
Does tuning reduce economy over performance? Talking to @Ironstrike he has a boost pin fitted and it goes a lot better than mine o_O

Fitted a boost pin 5 years ago, since then it has had a bit more done. ( Pinned , ringed, wastegate adjusted for more boost 25 Psi, new hybrid turbo, bigger intercooler, and FIP adjusted a few times ) only re-adjusted today as the new intercooler and turbo made me think it needed a bit more fuel when foot to the floor . It does use omroe fuel if you give it beans , or drive it sedatley and it will return the same as before. But I have a heavy right foot and I do enjoy driving it.

Cheers

Welded a bit of 2mm to the battery box, I was pleased with this bit of welding. Nothing like a Land rover to give you plenty of practice.

Etch primer coat on new seat box end panel.

Fuel tank and exhaust back on, feels good to be bolting stuff back on, feels like I've turned a corner.

Found a rattle can of blue to go over the seat box end, to be honest it could have been any colour it wont be seen anyway, just to use up a can that I've had for years.

Battery box 2nd coated with tractor paint.

Made a start on the tub, corner finisher and capping removed, a bit of mild panel beating to get rid of the worst, I'll splash some etch primer about tomorrow if I have time on the bits that are in contact with crossmember etc. Clean and prep the arches for a coat of stone chip, maybe lift it roughly in place, That would be nice.

I’m calling it finished but I will do the wheels green when I get chance.
Also got a few little odds and aids to paint and refit (side antenna mount thingy). Also need to make a plate to cover the holes in the back door where the spare wheel carrier used to live. Hopefully get that done tomorrow.....

I do like that, looks sort of purposefull.
The wheels look good in black, but have you thought about carrying the camo theme onto the rims?

I didn't do anything, someone else did though

Attempted theft at work,
I can only assume they saw the pedal lock and gave up
If you have a seat cover.. piece of wood with panel pins can help getting DNA proof. Don’t forget to remove it when you get in.

Glad it was not taken but keep an eye on it.

Big step forward for me today, got the tub in place at last. splashed some etch primer on the bits that matter before fitting.

Just showing off the stonechip I had sprayed into the arches before fitting. Good job the stuff is cheap, used a can each side, when I bought it I thought I'd get 2 so I could use the 2nd on the front arches. OH well.

It was only when taking those shots that I noticed the joke sign the doris had got me a few years ago. Seems appropriate now.

With any luck the seat box and floor can go in tomorrow, then I shall have to sort out what I'm going to do with the interior of the roof. Will be easier when I've got it on stands upside down, 1st thoughts are to glue some exercise matting first, might make a roof lining from ply and carpet it. I'll see what I feel like when I get to it.
