I might make up the 2mpg that I'm loosing
Because big chunky mud terrain tyres are not as fuel efficient as all terrains and definately nowhere near as good as normal road tyres. I'll get a more accurate mileage in the morning when I refuel and see exactly how much fuel I've used. Why do you think you are losing 2mpg?
Cheers

I took the old girl out for a drive did around 25 miles just to get her warmed up filled her up and put her back in the garage.
I then did a load out and put everything back and strapped it down ready for tomorrows fun

Well as high as I can get it.OK, It just seemed very specific that 28.9MPG was your target.
Cheers
I think thats probably all that is required. Unfortunately I tend to strip it down and rebuild it every time I go outI took my drivers seat out as it was full of water. Hope that counts as prep.

What engine? Finally emptied my fifth tank of fuel. Maths done. I'm averaging 319 miles per tank of diesel. That's 26.9 mpg. Hopefully when I get rid of the mud terrain tyres and fit all terrains, I might make up the 2mpg that I'm loosing. Which let's face it, ain't bad for a 30 year old engine that hasn't been rebuilt. Oh and that's on a mixture of motorways, dual carriageways, A roads, B roads, up and down steep peak district and Penines hills and from Barnsley to Sheffield every day.
Disco 200tdi.What engine?
