@pushmi-pullu how about removing the anti Luce brackets & top brackets & fitting the door to the wheel carrier?

Few bits of wide flat metal should hold it.
Bit of Angle on the inner roof to stop it flexing inwards. Could re fix a lock on if needed

Thanks @Hicap phill, great idea. I will look at it next week when I have a bit of time.

Getting it muddy.

Started it up, drove out from under the Gazebo (where it's been since June), turned it around and drove back in nose first so I can change the waterpump for a non-leaking version and fit the bonnet (after i've put the insulation on it).

Had to call the RAC out last night while on the A1 :(

Sporadic power loss, just nothing on the accelerator.

Worked it out 5 min before they arrived,

Connector on the stop solenoid was loose. I let the guy get his pliers out to nip it up, didn't want to say I had a full tool kit in the back.

Mot today.
Before leaving checked lights & no high beam on stalk or override switch. So pop bonnet tap the relays on the booslang loom and all lights come to life. Problem sorted.
happy mot man jumps in & goes through what light switches he can find. Then I hop in & do the remainder.
go underneath while on the ramp & check UJs , handbrake, & disk pads.
All good no holes only a slight drip on the sump plug.

Woop woop it passed again. Now been out for a pleasure drive.

Phil, I have plenty of black RTV if you need some :)
I think it may be the door retaining hinges....I have not fitted them.there are 6mm threaded holes in bulkhead
I was driving down the road touching the lower dash so I know it’s coming from that area.
(If not it’s the door seals or the split series doors)

thanks for the offer though

Finished putting back the dash, connected the heart box cable to the fan lever, replaced the warning light cluster. Fixed the warning ligh cluster and replaced it again. Replaced the oil pressure switch wiring. Discovered the new oil pressure switch only lasted half an hour.
Fitted chequer plate wing tops and sill covers. Revised choke cable connection to carb - it still prevents the throttle cable closing fully when you take your foot off.
Ordered another oil pressure switch for next time.
